iClicker Student Best Practices

  1. Use the iPhone or Android mobile apps.

If you are using a phone to access iClicker, the dedicated app will give you a better user experience.

  2. Join the class at the beginning of the session.

Joining the session at the beginning of class instead of during questions gives your phone more time to connect..

  3. Use the iPhone or Android mobile apps.

If you are using a phone to access iClicker, the dedicated app will give you a better user experience.

  4. Turn off your Virtual Private Network (VPN).

Using a VPN routes your internet traffic through another location. This causes a problem when taking attendance on campus.

  5. Don't use your phone as a wireless hotspot.

Using your phone as a hotspot knocks out radio frequency for other students, making it difficult for others to connect.

  6. Don't use other high bandwidth applications.

Using Netflix or Youtube during class creates a significant drain on bandwidth so we recommend closing those applications for the duration of class.
