iClicker is an audience response tool that is available in OWL as a plugin tool. Instructors use a desktop application to ask multiple choice, short answer, numeric or image target questions. Students answer these questions using their own computer or mobile device.

Generate a Course-specific LTI Link in iClicker

You will need a Course Specific LTI Link from iClicker Cloud in order to integrate it into an OWL site. You must have created a course in iClicker Cloud and enable grade sync in order to generate a Course Specific LTI link.

  1. On the iClicker Cloud instructor website, navigate to the course you want to generate a link for. In the left-hand menu, select Settings.

    Click on the iClicker course's settings
  2. Click the Integrations tab.

  3. Switch LTI-based Gradebook Integration to ON.

  4. Copy the Course-specific LTI link.

  5. Click Save.

Add iClicker to an OWL Site

  1. With the LTI link copied, navigate to OWL. Select the Site Info tool from the Tool Menu in your site.

  2. Click the Manage Tools tab in the Tool Menu at the top of the page.

  3. Select iClicker in the External Tools dropdown section.

    Click the Continue button.

  4. Click the Continue button.

    Select the continue button to add tool to site.
  5. Paste the Course Specific LTI Link into the Launch URL.

  7. Click the Finish button to confirm adding the tool to your site.
